Line drawing attempt

This is the first draft.

First part easy enough: a photo taken in Temple Meads with the Totterdown houses framed in the distance, colours desaturated in Photoshop and then replaced with a duotone effect...

Not thinking and just doing a 'stream of consciousness' line across the page.

I think sitting and just idly sketching might help dust off how rusty my drawing skills are, maybe even crack out the charcoal to embrace a genuinely messy way of working. It may help not being so 'controlled' with how I'm drawing, too.

My desk is currently a bit of a Frankenstein's monster of half-formed drawings and good intentions to start linocutting and creating a stop motion animation.
